Man commits suicide in child park

A Saudi man in his 30s went with a rope into a child park, put it on his neck and tied it to a swing then jumped down in the first case of a suicide inside a fun park in the Gulf Kingdom, a newspaper reported on Monday.

Police had rushed to the park in the western town of Taif after receiving calls that a man is hanging from one of the children’s swings.

“Police believe the man was suffering from mental problems,” Sharq Arabic language daily said without mentioning if there were children in the park at the time of the suicide.
