A Saudi man who raped his friend’s wife was found dead in his car just hours after committing the crime. His friend was saved from the gallows when a court in the Gulf Kingdom found him innocent and set him free.
The man, stalking his friend’s pretty wife, had asked him to borrow his car for a couple of hours. When he had the car key, he went straight to the key cutter and asked him to make a copy of his friend’s house key.
After returning the car, he went to his friend’s house and raped his wife while her husband was at work. The man then fled while the wife phoned her husband.
“Pretending that he does not know, the husband later phoned his friend and invited him and his wife to dinner at a rest house…the husband’s two brothers were also present,” Sabq Arabic language daily said in a report from Riyadh.
“They then joined hands to force the man to confess to his crime in front of his wife…hours later, the rapist was found dead in his car in a remote area.”
The paper said the court acquitted his friend after a forensic report showed the rapist died of his wounds as a result of a car crash. “That report saved the husband from the death sentence.”
