Man kills brother over children's marriage dispute

A Saudi man in his 50s killed his brother during a heated argument over a dispute between their son and daughter who are married to each other, a newspaper in the Gulf Kingdom reported on Wednesday.

The man’s daughter decided to leave her husband, who is her cousin, and live with her father following a marital dispute, Alyoum said.

Angered by her decision, her uncle went to his brother’s house in the eastern port of Dammam and tried to take her back to her husband by force.

“Her father hit his brother by a sharp object on the head….the blow caused his brother’s death as he had suffered from high blood pressure and diabetes…his brother tried in vain to rescue him,” the paper said.
