Man mistakenly held on molestation charges

An Asian man caught on camera trying to grab a boy at a Saudi shopping mall is the child’s uncle and police had arrested him by mistake.

Saudi newspapers published a U-Tube film on Wednesday showing the man was trying to grab the child in an isolated place inside the mall in the capital Riyadh before he was arrested by the police.

“It emerged that the man in the film is the brother of the boy’s father, who left the boy with his uncle while he was away,” Sabq daily said on Thursday.
