Man sets mom, grand mom on fire

A Saudi man locked up his mother and grand mother inside their house and set it on fire, killing both of them before he was arrested by the police.

The man himself had phoned the civil defence and told them his house was on fire and that his 46-year-old mother and grand mother, 70, were trapped inside.

“When they arrived, it was too late as both women were dead…the man tried to rebuke the firemen for being late in a hid to detract attention from his crime,” Sabq newspaper said in a report from the southern province of Jazan.

“Police investigation showed the firemen were not late but the man himself was late in reporting the fire…they later discovered he had set the house on fire,” the paper added without mentioning the motive for the murder.
