Man wakes from 7-month coma, names killer, dies

An Egyptian man who had been in coma for nearly seven months after he was shot in the head woke up suddenly at a Cairo hospital this week, identified his killer then died, Egyptian newspapers reported on Thursday.

The man, a public employee, had been admitted unconscious to hospital in the Egyptian capital seven months ago with a bullet in the head.

This week, he suddenly woke up and requested the police, the papers said, adding that he told them that the man who shot him is called Mohammed, a barber. Minutes later, he died while police went and arrested the barber.
