Rapist of daughter threatened to kill her

A Saudi man who raped his daughter for nearly nine year since she was a child had threatened to kill her if she reported him to the police.

The girl was so scared that she waited until for nine years until she was 19 and divulged the painful secret to her divorced mother.

The man has been arrested and a court is expected to issue its sentence against him in a few days. If convicted, the defendant will be beheaded.

“According to information included in the father’s court file, he had threatened to kill his daughter many times in case she reported him to the police,” the Saudi Arabic language daily Alyoum said on Wednesday.

“The girl could not report her father because she was frightened that he will carry out his threat and kill her…when she was 19, she went to her divorced mother and told her…her mother told the police but she is now in a bad psychological condition…the mother still can not believe what happened.”

Saudi newspapers said in June the unidentified man began raping his daughter almost daily when she was 10 years old.

The quoted police as saying as saying the man from the eastern port of Dammam already had committed 16 offences involving drugs and alcohol.
