An Iranian man who was rebuffed by a Kuwait father to marry his daughter was accused of ramming his car into the father’s vehicle while driving with his family in the oil-rich Gulf emirate, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.

Police who examined the badly damaged car of the Kuwaiti family were told by the father that the Iranian man tried to kill him by crashing into his car on purpose, the Arabic language daily Alanba said.

“The Kuwaiti man said he was sure the Iranian did that on purpose because he had rejected him as a husband for his daughter,” it said.

“The Iranian denied the charges and said it was just an accident…police are investigating the case.”
