Saudi traffic police chief killed in road accident

A traffic police chief in a Saudi city was killed after his car rammed into a truck on a key road in the Gulf Kingdom, a newspaper reported on Monday.

Lt Colonel Mater Al Humaidani, traffic police director in the northeastern Saudi town of Hafr Al Batin, was rushed to hospital after the accident on the road just outside the eastern town of Dammam, ‘Sharq’ Arabic language daily said.

“He was rushed to hospital in a serious condition and was admitted to the intensive care unit. He remained in coma until he died later,” it said.
