Woman on trial for calling a nurse 'slave'

A Saudi woman is on trial in the Gulf Kingdom on charges of swearing at a female nurse at a local hospital and calling her “slave.”’

The nurse, also a Saudi, told court that that woman abused her after she tried to stop her from entering the imaging room with her ill son.

“The nurse told court that the woman swore at her then told her ‘you are just a servant here….you slave,” Sada newspaper said in a report from the western town of Medina.

It quoted the nurse as saying she did not want to report the case to the police but changed her mind after the woman’s husband threatened her.
