Saudi seizes 2.4m smuggled drug pills
Saudi police seized nearly 2.4 million amphetamine tablets which dealers tried to smuggle into the Gulf Kingdom through the border with Jordan.
Newspapers said police and coast guards foiled the attempt to smuggle the amphetamines, a potent central nervous system stimulant, at the coast of Haql, a remote Northwestern Saudi town situated near the border with Jordan.
The papers did not identify the smugglers or mention how many of them were arrested.
