Saudis seize 1.7m pills in fridge

Saudi port customs inspectors foiled an attempt to smuggle nearly 1.7 million captagon pills hidden inside a large fridge aboard a truck.

The inspectors decided to search the fridge that arrived aboard a ferry in the Western Red Sea port of Duba near the border with Jordan.

‘Sabq’ newspaper quoted customs sources as saying the pills were expertly concealed inside metal boards fixed to the fridge’s ceiling.
