Son attacks dad over extra-marital affair

Colombo: A son hit his father with a spade, angry at being reprimanded.

The 55-year-old man was rushed to hospital with serious wounds on his arm and body after he was attacked by his son in Wathura, Sri Lanka, Mawbima’ reported.

The son was allegedly in an extra-marital relationship with woman in their neighbourhood and the dad was attempting to persuade him to end the relationship.

Angry at being told to stop the relationship, the son reportedly attacked the senior person.

Police investigations continue.
