Wife beats hubby for raping minor daughter

Colombo: In a cruel act of violence, a father had been molesting his underage daughter every time his wife went out to work.

Maharagama police arrested him after the 12-year-old broke out to her mother unable to bear her dad’s harassment, reported ‘Sunday Mawbima’.

Upon learning of the incidents, the woman called on the neighbours and beat up her husband before calling police and handing him over.

Police sources say the man had been in prison earlier in another case and then the woman had filed for a divorce from him.

However, when he was bailed out he returned to stay with his family.

Investigations continue.
