In a bizzare incident, a father and his two sons tortured a carpenter to death for stealing their pet dogs in Egypt.
According to a report in 'Al Youm Al Sabea’a', the 26-year-old victim was hired by the trio to carry out some repair work at their apartment in Al Doki area near Cairo.
After finishing his work the carpenter allegedly returned to the apartment the following day to take away the dogs. The owner, on learning of his act, called him back on the pretext of carrying out more carpentry work.
No sooner than he arrived than he was tied up with a leash and beaten with electric sticks. He was also forced to sign on cheques.
The neighbours intervened to save the man, but the trio dismissed them.
Unable to bear the torture he passed away. The father and sons soon fled the scene.
Housewife beats maid to death
A Kuwaiti woman gave her Filipina housemaid a good smack following an argument and went straight to bed. When she woke up in the morning, she found the maid dead in her bed.
Police charged the housewife of beating her maid to death although she claimed she did not mean to kill her.
"The woman told police that she had an argument with the maid after she left home for two hours without permission,” the Kuwaiti Alanba daily said.
"When the maid returned, the woman beat her up and went to bed…she said that she woke up in the morning but could not find the maid…she went into her bedroom and found her dead in her bed.”
Wife beats husband to death after dispute
A 38-year-old welder was allegedly killed by his wife and her family over a family dispute.
According to Egyptian Arabic daily Al Youm Al Sabea’a, the welder identified as Mohammed Saeed had a severe dispute with his wife, after which she left his house and went to her parents’ house in Al Khosos area of Al-Qalyubia.
The brother of the deceased said the victim went to reconcile with the family of her wife, but alleges that his wife beat him up with the help of her father and brothers, leading to a massive brain injury which resulted in his death.
The Al Mataraya Hospital, where the victim was taken after he was injured, informed police of the arrival of the victim who was suffering from internal bleeding and suspected concussion, and who died while the first aid was being administered to him.
Meanwhile, an uncle and brother of the victim have accused the deceased’s 30-year-old wife and her family, including her father and three brothers, of beating the victim while he was inside their house for reconciliation.
The police has reportedly arrested the victim’s wife, who has denied the accusations and the case has been referred to the prosecution.
