Dad shoots son, injures wife in Saudi

A Saudi father opened fire at his family in the Gulf Kingdom, killing his little son and seriously injuring his wife before he was chased and arrested by the police.

The Arabic language daily 'Ajel' said the incident took place in a small village, around 40km south of the Northwestern town of Hail, on Saturday.

It said police are questioning the man, in his 30s, to determine his motives for the crime  but it did not specify the son’s age.
