Dad uses baby as weapon to hit mom

A couple’s fight over their baby’s paternity resulted in the gruesome death of the newborn.

According to a report in ‘Metro’,  the couple in Pretoria initially fought at home before the woman fled the house. But the man followed her to a petrol station to attack her.

He allegedly snatched the three-day-old infant off the mother and used the newborn as a weapon to hit the woman.

One witness claims to have seen the man take the baby by his feet to swing at the woman, the report added.

Officers found the baby wrapped in a towel on the ground, drowning in its own vomit, and was declared dead in hospital.
