A masked group broke into an apartment and forced a man to open his safe, then told his young daughter to turn around before shooting him five times, authorities said. One arrest has been made, and three other people are being sought.

The home invasion happened early Sunday at Jermaine Taylor's apartment in Allentown. His roommate and his brother called 911 when they returned home and found the 39-year-old Taylor dead.

Isaac Navarro, 29, was charged in Lehigh County with homicide, robbery and conspiracy in connection. Investigators said he was shot in the leg during the home invasion.

The county public defender's office said no defense attorney had yet been assigned to him.

Authorities are still looking for three other assailants, who have been named in court filings as John Doe 1, John Doe 2 and Jane Doe. The group was spotted on surveillance images walking from the scene.

Taylor's neighbor Fannie Holden said her heart is broken by his death.

She said Taylor was a wonderful father and showed her nothing but respect — even throwing her a birthday party.

Holden said Taylor's death was reminiscent of her son's death over a decade ago.

"He was killed in a home invasion in Augusta, Georgia. Same way Jermaine died," she said.
