Italian mafia leader - wanted by Interpol - arrested by Dubai Police

Dubai Police arrested an Italian mafia leader who was wanted by the Interpol.

Major General Khalil Ibrahim Mansouri, Director of Criminal Investigation of Dubai Police confirmed that the vigilance of the Interpol team in Dubai resulted in the arrest of Amadia G R.

The suspect, in his forties, was detained immediately upon his arrival at the Dubai International Airport last week.

He has been referred to the public prosecution, while authorities are waiting to retrieve his file from the Italian authorities.

Italian embassy has been notified of the arrest.

Mansouri said UAE co-operates with all Arab nations and Western countries in implementing Interpol conventions and the bilateral reciprocity agreements signed between all Interpol member states.
