Parents arrested after son, 11, crosses 95kgs

A couple in UK's Norfolk were arrested after their 11-year-old son ballooned to 95.25kgs and had to be treated twice by doctors in one month.

The doctors looking after the young child raised an alarm and the couple were taken into custody for alleged gross neglect. The parents are currently out on bail, reports Daily Mail.

However, the parents have defended themselves by saying that their child's weight gain is genetic.

The parents could lose the custody of their 5feet 1 inch boy to the social services. The mother reiterates to  Daily Mail that she has always been chubby and the relatives on her husband's side are also quite big. She doesn't seem too worried about her son's big size. She told the daily that her son keeps active by playing games on Nintendo and he is 'on a strict diet'.

Doctors claim that the child is more than three times his normal weight.

A lot of children in the UK have been handed over to social services on account of their bulging waist size, which the officials claim is mostly due to their parents' negligence.
