Pregnant woman drugged, tied, raped

In an incident that has outraged the people of Sydney, a pregnant woman was being treated for severe injuries after she was allegedly drugged, tied-up and raped in the city's south west area recently.

The woman's partner told the emergency service officials that the 43-year-old might even have miscarried as aa result of the assault, reports Daily Telegraph website.

The paramedics who responded to her partner's call rushed the woman to the Liverpool Hospital with police escort.

The details of the case are not clear and it is yet to be learnt how the woman was assaulted as the police officials are waiting for the victim's condition to stabilize before they speak to her about her ordeal.
