Sister-in-law kicks pregnant woman

SRI LANKA: A three-month pregnant woman was admitted into a hospital after being attacked by her husband’s elder sister, Mawbima reported.

When the a 23-year-old woman became pregnant and was unwell, her sister-in-law kicked the woman in the belly for keeping the house untidy.

The husband had to admit her to a hospital.

The sister-in-law who is a mother of two, contacted the victim at the hospital saying that she would destroy her married life if she filed a complaint, police said.

Investigations to continue in the case.
