Colombo: On Mother’s Day, a son not only forced his mother out of her home in Sri Lanka but also set it ablaze.
According to ‘Lankadeep’, the man along with his wife and three kids had rented out his home and moved in to stay with his aged mother a few months back.
However, there were constant arguments between his mother and wife.
He also allegedly argued with his mother regularly asking her to transfer the home in his name.
That evening, when he returned he did not find his family. Suspecting his mother, he chased her out of her own home and set it on fire.
He has been arrested.
Mom gang-raped; toddler missing
Three men kidnapped a young mother and her child and gang raped her, reported ‘Hiru Gossip’.
The 36-year-old woman and her 10-month-old baby was alone at home when the gang broke into her home at night and forced her to go with them.
They took her to a nearby deserted place and gang-raped her.
Neighbours alerted police after they found the woman missing.
Police discovered her, but her baby is still missing.
The suspects are aged between 24 and 26.
Wife hacks gambler hubby to death
A wife, tired of her husband’s gambling and alcoholism, hacked him to death with a cleaver, reported ‘Sunday Mawbima’.
The man had demanded money to gamble the previous night, following which the couple argued and picked up a fight.
After committing the crime, she informed police that she killed her husband because he had threatened her that he would kill her before dawn. She also admitted that they constantly fought as he demanded money to drink and gamble.
The couple have three children.
Husband kills wife’s lover
An ex-soldier was hacked to death by his lover’s husband when he learnt of their relationship.
According to ‘Mawbima’, the suspect’s wife had recently gone abroad on employment. And the husband learnt that the ex-army man had fetched her the job, and he intended to join her soon.
The suspect confronted the victim and hacked him to death.
Man sets lover ablaze
A 33-year-old woman is admitted to hospital with severe burns after her alleged lover set her ablaze at home, reported ‘Mawbima’.
Her 14-year-old son informed cops that a man had entered their home and poured kerosene on his mom before setting her on fire.
He also claimed that his grandparents rushed her to hospital.
Investigations reveal that the woman was in a relationship with the suspect – a father of three.
The woman’s husband is employed abroad.
