Underage girl forcibly pushed for sexual acts

A woman, who forced her 07-year-old niece to engage in sexual acts and later treated her maliciously, has been ordered to be arrested and produced before courts by the Pugoda Magistrate Ms. Indika Kalingawansa, ‘Lankadeepa’ reported.

Judge also ordered the police to hand over the underage girl to her grandmother under three year’s guardianship of the probation.

Police reported to the courts that the girl had been under the care of her aunt, who had engaged her in sexual acts and when the girl refused to engage at times, she had been severely harassed.

Upon a complaint lodged at the Pugod police by the grandmother, judge ordered the woman be arrested.

The girl, who was put under the guardianship of the probation, has not even attended a school.

The judge advised the grandmother to look after the child with care and send her to a school regularly.

Underage monks sexually molested

Kegalle headquarter police said that they have admitted two underage Buddhist monks living in a temple in Galigamuwa area to Kegalle hospital on Thursday after they had been sexually abused severely by a person, ‘Mawbima’ reported.

The underage monks, who were forced for severe sexual  abuse, were aged 11 and 12 respectively.

Police having received a call to the emergency number 119 visited the temple and had questioned the two monks, who had stated that on the day of the incident, they were alone in temple as their chief prelate had gone out and the man, who engaged in external work at the temple had taken the two to a room in the temple and sexually abused them.

Police, who arrested the 46-year-old suspect on the same day, was said to be a resident of Ranwalawatte area in kegalle and was due to be produced before the Kegalle Magistrate.
