Dentist dies 9 days after being set ablaze by burglars because he had no money

Hospital officials say that a Brazilian dentist has died nine days after burglers set him on fire.

The Albert Einstein Hospital on Tuesday did not specify Alexandre Pecanha Gaddy's exact cause of death, but said he had suffered third degree burns over more than half of his body.

Citing testimony from the dentist shortly after his rescue, police have said that two people broke into his office last week as he was getting ready to go home. They set fire to his body because he had no money.
