Dubai’s Emaar Properties, on Saturday, announced the launch of its second The Address branded tower in Downtown Dubai this year.

The Address Residence Sky View is a 50-storey hotel, residence and serviced apartment twin-tower complex atop a grand podium, designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, architects of the Burj Khalifa.

At a height of over 230 metres, the tower will have 532 serviced apartments fully furnished with floor-to-ceiling windows and will be linked directly to the Dubai Metro and The Dubai Mall via a new air-conditioned travelator.

Sky View will also serve as a business hotel with about 180 rooms.

Spanning the tower complex is a unique “Sky Bridge“, which includes a signature restaurant, ballroom, infinity pool with amenity deck that offers 360-degree vistas of Downtown Dubai and panoramic views of the Gulf.

Emaar will hold the launch of the new tower simultaneously in Dubai and Riyadh, a move that aims to attract more Saudi investors.

The new launch comes after Emaar’s The Address Residence Fountain Views I & II towers were successfully launched last month. The developer announced last year that its plans to expand Dubai Mall and will launch new residential projects.

Mohamed Alabbar, Chairman of Emaar Properties, in a statement, said: “The project builds on the growth of the property market and tourism sectors of Dubai, offering investors a premium choice of home in the most prestigious square kilometre on earth.

“The Address Residence Sky View will become the referral point for all future projects from design and architecture to its host of services, while focusing on creating prime real estate assets in Dubai that contribute to the city’s economy,” he added.

Potential buyers can pre-register interest at the company's website (emaar.com) with Dubai sale commencing for registered applicants on a first registered, first served basis on March 2. Emirates 24|7 reported earlier that Emaar sold units in its Fountain Views project for Dh2,500 per square foot on average. The tower is
expected to be completed in 2016

In September 2012, the developer had launched 72-storey The Address The BVLD hotel and serviced apartment tower, which includes 200 hotel rooms and 523 serviced residences. The tower is scheduled for completion in 2015.
