Dubai-Beirut flydubai plane lands safely after mid-air glitch

A flydubai plane was reported to have been stuck in air over Beirut for about an hour late on Sunday due to a technical glitch, the Daily Star of Lebanon reported.

An airport source was quoated as saying that the Dubai-Beirut Flight 159 with 43 passengers landed safely at the airport at 10:40pm after about an hours delay.

The delay had been attributed to a problem in the plane’s flaps, which normally are deployed downward to help the aircraft stop, the source added.
