Officials and business leaders from the UAE and abroad will converge on Abu Dhabi on February 3 for an annual meeting to discuss surging business opportunities in the emirate.

The two-day Abu Dhabi Economic Forum (Adef) will highlight the emirate’s economic trends, growing business opportunities and the impact of the government’s new policy on investment, said Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which is organising the conference.

The event – following on last year’s conference that attracted more than 1,000 delegates – will include papers and discussions on tourism, property, construction, manufacturing and services.

Nasser Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Department of Planning and Economy, said: “This year’s conference comes at a very interesting time for Abu Dhabi as it has now established its vision, policy options and development plans.”

The event will be held under the patronage of General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
