American Express Middle East yesterday announced the appointment of Mark Turner as Group Head Commercial Products, Middle East and North Africa to strengthen its commercial card business.
In his new role, Turner will focus on restructuring the company's commercial cards business and introducing new payment solutions. Turner has more than 15 years of experience in managing American Express Corporate Cards franchise and travel services across Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Prior to joining American Express in the Middle East, Turner provided consultancy services to several financial and non-financial companies, advising on business restructuring and acquisitions.
Turner said: "Currently, the commercial cards business contributes to more than 25 per cent of American Express Middle East billings, and we will continue to further build on this.
"With additional focus and new product deployment in the corporate arena, we aim to double our billed business in the next three years, quadruple resources and launch new initiatives to drive growth."
