EFG Hermes climbs to top of Zawya's ranking

EFG Hermes finished at the top of Zawya's latest ranking of Middle East funds.

In the ranking, EFG Hermes' Bank of Alexandria Fund II closed the second quarter of 2009 as the Best Egypt Money Market Fund (Conventional).

Zawya ranks funds on the basis of returns (30 per cent of the total score), volatility (20 per cent), fees (20 per cent) and compliance (30 per cent). The Bank of Alexandria II Money Market Fund has been the top-performing Egyptian money market fund, recording as of October 31 year-to-date gains of 8.8 per cent compared to an average return of 8.1 per cent achieved by competitor money market funds.

The fund has enjoyed the strongest track record in the market since its launch in 2006, delivering the highest year-to-date, two-years-to-date, and three-years-to-date performance of all Egyptian money market funds.
