The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Authority yesterday announced that it has appointed Marwan Ahmad Lutfi as its Deputy CEO and Head of Business Development for the DIFC Authority.

In this role, Lutfi will look after all business development activities and client-related matters for the DIFC Authority.

His main responsibilities will be to facilitate growth while engaging with the Centre's existing and future clients.

Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer, Governor of DIFC, said: "As the DIFC enters its next phase of growth, Marwan Lutfi's appointment to this key business development role will be pivotal in driving forward our strategic initiatives."

Clarification

In our report on DIFC fees in Wednesday's edition, we stated that DIFC has reduced its $8,000 (Dh29,383) fee for company incorporation to $1,000, while the annual commercial licence fee was reduced from $12,000 to zero. The reduction applies for special purpose structures such as funds and captives, only.
