Top executives will give an in-depth analysis of sovereign wealth funds at the upcoming Sovereign Reserve Management Pension and Institutional Funds Congress 2008, which will be held in Abu Dhabi on May 5.
The focus of the conference will be on the growth and strategies of sovereign wealth funds and the way ahead for the local asset management community.
The organisers are hosting a number of international speakers including: Dr Nasser Saidi, chief economist of Dubai International Financial Centre; Georges Sudarskis, Senior Investment Controller of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority; Mohammed Al Hashemi, Executive Director and Head of Asset Management of Abu Dhabi Investment Company; Navid Chamdia, Investments Director of Qatar Investment Authority; and Manmohan Singh, Senior Economist at Sovereign Asset & Liability Management Division of IMF's Monetary and Capital Markets Department.
Speakers also include top commodities trader Kevin Kerr and top US Housing Researcher Brian Lancaster.
