The value of shares bought by foreign investors, or non-UAE nationals, last week has reached Dh1.729 billion, comprising 40.1 per cent of the total value of stocks traded from March 16 to 19, according to a statement released by the Dubai Financial Market.
However, the value of stocks sold by foreign investors during the same period was slightly higher at Dh1.947 billion, about 45.1 per cent of the total traded volume. Net foreign investment on the Dubai market hit Dh218.2 million as aggregate sales.
Institutional investors, meanwhile, bought shares amounting Dh1.315 billion or 30.5 per cent of the total value of stocks traded last week.
Shares sold by institutions were also higher at Dh1.690 billion, which represented 39.2 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period, while aggregate sale reached Dh374.6 million. (Wam)
