UK's Aviva seeks growth in Turkey

Aviva, the UK's second- largest insurer, wants to expand in Turkey because its current business isn't big enough, said Ertan Firat, Chief Executive Officer of the company's operation in the country. "Aviva doesn't think a 2.5 per cent market share is enough in Turkey," Firat, CEO of Aviva Sigorta, said on Saturday in an interview. "There aren't many sellers in the market and not many options exist." The British insurer is satisfied with its partnership with Haci Omer Sabanci Holding, Turkey's second- biggest industrial group, Firat said.
