Kuwait’s KFH shows Indonesia interest

Islamic lender Kuwait Finance House (KFH) said on Sunday it was interested in participating in expected infrastructure projects in Indonesia worth billions of dollars.

"The Indonesian government wants to develop its infrastructure in the next five years and needs $150 billion [Dh551bn]," a KFH spokesman said.

He said the government had not launched any tenders for the projects yet.

KFH's comments came in response to a report by Kuwaiti daily Al Qabas that the lender was considering participating in financing infrastructure projects after being invited by the Indonesian government to attend a foreign investment conference. (Reuters)
