Al Khaleejiah, a subsidiary of the Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SRMG), will be the sponsor of the print media category at the second Dubai Lynx Awards. The event is scheduled to be held in Dubai later this week.
Bander Asiri, managing director, Al Khaleejiah Advertising and Public Relations Company, said: “We’re excited to be a sponsor at Dubai Lynx for the first time. Supporting the best advertising talent is critical to the development of the media industry as a whole, be it print, broadcast or digital, on the wider international stage.”
He added the sponsorship highlights Al Khaleejiah’s role in the Middle East media industry and its commitment to quality and best practices across the industry.
This year is expected to be a busy year for advertisers with the European Football Championships in June and the Beijing Olympics in August, Asiri added.
“In 2006, ad sales in Arriyadiah, the first sports daily in Saudi Arabia, increased year-on-year by 122 per cent during the World Cup period. We are already seeing a significant increase in bookings as brands try to replicate the success of their 2006 campaigns.”
Al Khaleejiah Advertising is responsible for the promotion and ad sales of the 15 titles put out by the Saudi Research & Publishing Company, the media publishing arm of the SRMG.
Headquartered in Jeddah, Al Khaleejiah has offices in Riyadh, Dhahran, London, Paris and Dubai. The company has also established a network of representatives in Japan, Thailand, India and Pakistan among others.
