Air Berlin flies 2.4% more people in first quarter
Germany's second-biggest airline, Air Berlin, said its passenger numbers increased by nearly five per cent on the year in March as the global economy improved. The carrier said it carried 2.4 million passengers last month – 4.8 per cent more than in March 2009. For the whole of the first quarter, passenger numbers rose 2.4 per cent.
