Dubai Airport Free Zone wins information security award

Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority (Dafza) has been awarded the ISO 27001 information security award. The international award recognises excellence in information security for e-services delivered to its customers through a website and 'Tasheel' electronic port.

The award was presented to Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Airport Free Zone.

Dr Mohammed Al Zarouni, Dubai Airport Free Zone Director-General, who presented the award, said that applying the international standards of information security was a priority in the activities and services of Dafza extended to its customers.

"With this award, our tenants at Dubai Airport Free Zone can rest assured that the free zone will continue to focus on information security and the main objectives of using modern technology is to keep customers' information confidential and giving priority on the protection of customer data thus keeping trust among service providers and receivers," said Al Zarouni.

"It is critical to work hard to raise performance, efficiency and applying recognised international standards of quality in the technology used to achieve the strategic objectives of Dubai Airport Free Zone, including delivering distinct services for our customers which are from international major companies."

He said Dubai Airport Free Zone work strictly follows the Dubai Government guidelines, which promote the application of the best technologies of information business and its protection to create trust among business partners and assuring success of business operations.
