Dubai set to host UITP Congress in 2011

Dubai will host the 59th World Congress and Exhibition of the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) in 2011. At the conclusion of event's 58th edition in Vienna, the ceremonial flag was passed to Dubai. The UAE was represented by Mohammed Ahmed Omran, the country's Ambassador to Austria and its Permanent Representative in the UN at Vienna; and by Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the Dubai's RTA.
