Efficiency of RTA taxicabs rises in second half of 2009

The operational efficiency of taxicabs operating under the umbrella of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) hit an upsurge of 92.6 per cent at peak hours in the second half of 2009, compared to the 85 per cent recorded in the first half of the same year, the authority said yesterday. The CEO of the RTA's Public Transport Agency, Eisa Abdul Rahman Al Dosari, said: "National Taxi topped the list in terms of operational efficiency in the second half of 2009 at 95 per cent."
