Emirates' A380 service to Seoul from November

Emirates would begin operating its Airbus A380 aircraft to South Korea in November this year, marking the superjumbo's first service to North East Asia.

The airline said yesterday it would fly A380 to Seoul's Incheon International Airport on a daily basis, replacing Emirates' existing Boeing 777 daily service to Seoul.

"The new service represents the aviation world's first A380 operation to Seoul, as well as Emirates' first A380 service to North East Asia. It follows the successful deployment of Emirates' A380s to New York and London, and soon-to-be-launched Sydney and Auckland," Emirates said in a statement. The trade between South Korea and the UAE has grown 150 per cent over the past five years.
