Emirates seeks apology from EU Commission
Emirates airline yesterday said it has demanded a public apology from the European Commission over a report accusing the carrier of misleading passengers on website ticket prices.
"Emirates has sent an official complaint to DG Sanco (European Commission Directorate General for Health and Consumers) requesting a public apology," a statement said. Emirates was one of nine airlines named and shamed by the European Commission earlier this month for failing to address concerns about misleading customers on their internet sites.
"Emirates was excluded from the report's consultation process and then wrongly chastised over a technicality relating to a review of a single website in Malta," Emirates said.
