Etihad offers 50% discount on premium travel

Etihad Airways is offering UAE customers who book a first or business class seat a second seat for free.

The airline said yesterday the move forms a part of a promotion to highlight the airline's premium services. It added that the "two-for-one" offer is available to customers who book first or business class seats between February 12 and 16, inclusive, and that all outbound travel must be completed by March 31 and journeys completed by May 31.

The airline, which recently completed a major service upgrade to its premium cabins across its fleet, said the promotion applies to all Etihad routes except Bangkok, Cairo, Islamabad, Kuala Lumpur, Lahore and Toronto.

Etihad last week cut fares on flights across its network in an attempt to fuel slowing demand due to the financial slowdown.
