Jebel Ali Container Terminal 2 to open soon

Global container terminal operator DP World will boost its handling capacity with the opening of the final phase of the Jebel Ali Container Terminal 2 at the end of this month, said a senior official.

The new terminal will add five million TEUs to the existing nine million TEUs at the port. "We are opening the last phase of Terminal 2 at the end of this month," said Anwar Wajdi, DP World's Senior Vice-President, Commercial and Corporate Strategy.
