Jet to fly to Dubai from next month
India's leading private airline, Jet Airways, will be starting its Dubai flights starting next month while its low cost arm, JetLite, would start operations to Dubai by the year-end, according to the airline's top executive.
"We would be starting our Dubai flights from Mumbai and Delhi next month onwards. We have already got the landing rights for Dubai and would be announcing the date for the launch next week," Naresh Goyal, Chairman of Jet Airways, told Emirates Business, at the Farnborough International Airshow in the UK.
He said the airline is also looking to fly JetLite into Dubai from Hyderabad and Jaipur, by winter. "We have already got the landing rights for that as well," Goyal said.
"Jet Airways would fly two flights a day daily to Dubai – from Mumbai and Delhi. These would be the Airbus A330 aircraft," he said. The company is also looking to fly JetLite into Sharjah.
Jet Airways launched its Middle East operations in January this year and currently flies to Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain.
