Lufthansa launches new summer schedule
Germany's national carrier Lufthansa has launched its summer schedule for 2010, with 3.6 per cent increased capacity overall from 2009; however, the number of flights compared to the same period last year will remain unchanged. "More seats with roughly the same number of flights… Simultaneously, we are moving a step nearer our goal of improving our results by €1 billion (Dh5bn) by the end of 2011," said Executive Vice-President Marketing and Sales Thierry Antinori. The summer timetable is valid from March 28 until October 30.
