Lufthansa notifies EU of BMI stake purchase

COLOGNE Deutsche Lufthansa yesterday notified European Union antitrust regulators of its plans to acquire a majority of UK airline BMI. The EU set a provisional deadline of May 14 for a ruling, the Brussels-based European Commission said on its website.
