Metro launch a message to the world: Dubai Holding

Dubai Metro will boost the emirate's economy and has shown the world that Dubai is committed to its promises and schedules, the chief executive officer of Dubai Holding said yesterday.

Attributing the successful launch to the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Dubai Holding CEO Ahmed bin Byat said: "Dubai has sent out a message to the world that we are keen to implement our plans with confidence and optimism." He said in a statement that the pioneering transit system reiterated the importance the emirate places on timely delivery of projects at a time when projects worldwide are facing great challenges due to the financial crisis.
