Indian carrier Kingfisher Airlines has announced the launch dates for the highly anticipated Dubai-Mumbai and Dubai-Delhi routes.
These daily services will commence from April 24, ahead of the summer rush period, but passengers can start booking their flights online or through a travel agent.
As the country's only five-star airline, Kingfisher already flies daily on the Dubai-Bangalore route. With the addition of these two new daily services, the carrier will operate 21 flights a week between the UAE and India.
This news comes a day after Emirates Business reported domestic Indian carrier, IndiGo, was looking to expand its services into the region over the next few years, according to a Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) official. The budget airline has yet to confirm plans.
Over the past few years, Indian carriers have agressively launched operations into the region, which now include Air India, Air India Express, Indian, Jet Airways and Kingfisher.
