SAS Group to reduce surcharges

Scandinavian airlines SAS Group has decided to reduce surcharges by €3 (Dh14) on domestic, intra-Scandinavian and European flights. On intercontinental flights the surcharges will be cut by €5.

These changes will be valid from November 12 and are motivated by a less volatile and lower oil price. At the same time the dollar has strengthened and SAS continues to monitor the US currency and the oil price development, said a statement.

SAS is the largest airline in Northern Europe and the national carrier of Denmark, Norway and Sweden. SAS International is the long-haul operator of SAS with 1.4 million passengers per year.

Its fleet consists of 11 Airbus 330/340 that serves several destinations worldwide from Copenhagen and Stockholm.
